BANK OF MONTREAL HOUSE

6 Ravenscliffe Avenue Hamilton, ON circa 1911

Ravenscliffe is the concentrated OJ of luxury, historic real estate in Hamilton. It packs a character punch and has been inspiring drive-bys and drool-bys for over 100 years.

And the crown jewel of the street has to be #6. This Spanish mission-style mansion has only had 4 owners in her 106 year history.

The home was originally built in 1911 by the Bank of Montreal for its regional mangers, so they could entertain.

The architect is the renowned William Witton who was responsible for many Hamilton structures including the foundation of the Witton lofts (a former school) and the gorgeous Herkimer Apartments.
